"For well over a decade, in her many volunteer leadership roles at UCM, Diane has exhibited the tenets of Servant Leadership," says Nichelle Mitchem, UCM Executive Director. "Because of Diane's important work at UCM, our agency has been able to grow the number of vulnerable children, youth, and families served. We are so very fortune to have Diane as a volunteer at UCM."
Diane has a big heart and understands that we all may be vulnerable and need help at some point in our lives. That is why having a strong UCM is important to her and to the community. Many years ago, a neighbor of Diane's was going through a rough patch and needed UCM’s services. Not many would expect that her neighbor would have ended up needing assistance. When Diane saw that her own neighbor needed help, she deepened her commitment to UCM, became an active volunteer, and made a commitment to keeping UCM strong for anyone who might need its services.
