Emergency Assistance Programs
UCM's Emergency Assistance program helps people in
crisis meet
basic needs and learn about resources for long-term self-sufficiency.
The working poor and those on fixed incomes have hardships that require
concrete, immediate help to prevent outcomes like homelessness, utility
cut-off, malnutrition, or worsening of illnesses such as diabetes. The
program serves over 10,00 people per year. We often work with Fairfax
County, complementing their resources when they cannot fully address a
crisis alone. For further information see our Program Participant Statistical Report for FY'06 - FY'08.
