Child Care Overview
BEL Center
How can we truly effect change? By ensuring a better
future
for the next generation. To this end, UCM established the Bryant Early
Learning (BEL) Center in 1986 to address our community-wide issue of
lack of safe, affordable childcare. The BEL Center is fully accredited by COA (Council on Accreditation - (www.coastandards.org), and provides safe,
affordable, developmental childcare to children 6 weeks to 5 years of
age.
The BEL Center rents space at the Bryant Alternative
School.
This allows UCM to partner with Fairfax County Schools in preventing
school dropout among teen moms involved in Project Opportunity.
