Back Porch Thrift Store

The Back Porch Thrift Store has a long history of providing community solutions to residents of the Mt. Vernon / Alexandria area.  Donated furniture, houseware items, clothing, books and more is made available to the general public for sale and to needy clients of UCM.  New merchandise is brought to the sales floor every day.   Proceeds from store sales are used to support the many programs of UCM in the community.

Monday - Wednesday, Friday & Saturday     10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday                                                               10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sundays                                                                 Noon - 6 p.m.

New Year's Day, January 1st

Donation Drop-Off Days:

Monday through Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please bring your donations to the rear of the building by driving around either end of the shopping center.  You will see a sign in the rear of the building where we receive donations.

Truck Pick Up Donations:

Donation pick-ups are scheduled by the Back Porch truck on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:30 - 1:00 p.m.  We are only able to pick up furniture and other large items.

Our pick up service is available in the following zip code areas:
